A veteran lawyer with more than three decades’of experience my practice straddles both contentious and non-contentious work.
For contentious work, throughout his career Mr.Chung had argued cases before all four Chief Justices of Singapore. Many of his cases are reported in the Law Reports and are cited in subsequent decisions. His expertise is in dispute resolution for civil/commercial and criminal matters. With his experience Mr.Chung is able to give quite realistic appraisal of cases before they go to court and thus able to give clients advice based on a holistic approach balancing commercial interests and regulatory requirements. Throughout his career Mr.Chung have represented and clients from private clients to listed company; from associations to governments, on matters spanning company law, contested probates, real estate disputes and contested IP disputes.
For non-contentious work, his focus is on wealth management and private clients’matters be it in Singapore or China where Mr.Chung is well regarded by the legal profession in China. Mr.Chung received many referrals from well established laws firms in China including Yingke, Jingshi and Han Sheng just to name a few. Mr.Chung advise wealthy families and family office from China, Japan, ASEAN and Africa on business structuring, investment immigration, trusts, legacy and estate planning.
Mr.Chung serve as a panel arbitrator with the Hainan International Arbitration Court and last year he was empaneled to hear a case involving two Chinese entities a rare privilege for a foreign arbitrator.
Recently Mr.Chung is honoured to be appointed as Board Member of the Cambodia Centre for Mediation.
