Xiaoyin has accumulated a breadth of experiences in commercial litigation & arbitration, private M&A with Allen & Gledhill LLP in Singapore. She has also spent several years in-house and/or as legal consultant, leading legal and compliance in various MNCs and large financial institutions including but not limited to DBS Bank, Allianz RE, Mastercard and GIC, while honing her expertise in data privacy and ESG. She has also obtained qualification of CFA level 1 and ESG Investing by CFA.
Xiaoyin advises asset owners, fund managers, VCs and start-ups on general corporate and M&A matters, data protection and privacy policy. She is familiar with digital assets funds and advises on due diligence and compliance related aspects. She also works closely with clients on the relevance and application of ESG to their strategies and practices, including but not limited to the following areas:

Xiaoyin has previously headed legal and compliance departments in an international joint-venture company.
She has also worked with Alliance RE, DBS Bank, and consulted Mastercard in data privacy. She was most recently with GIC legal and compliance, heading data privacy. Xiaoyin has served various board positions across companies in SEA, including chairing the boards. She has also advised various VCs and start-ups in the areas food security, healthcare and technology on ESG related matters. She is also an advisor/mentor to a few VCs and start-ups.
She is well-versed in technology snd sustainability-related sectors and impact-motivated businesses. She provides all-rounded legal support to her clients on a regular basis, from general corporate advisory, contracts, operational compliance to investments or divestments.
Xiaoyin is also a consultant with raiSE, the membership body for social enterprises in Singapore. She helps with venture-building and advisory work to social impact investments and social enterprises generally, She also piloted the first Pay-for-Success social impact investment project in Singapore with her intermediary, Social Venture Partnerships, engaging the support of government agencies, social organizations and corporate and philanthropic investors.
Xiaoyin holds a LLB(Hons) and BSocSci(Hons) from the National University of Singapore’s Double Degree Program in Law and Economics. She is also a member of the Singapore Institute Arbitrators; a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Asia and Europe from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and a holder of the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute
